Expansion and renovation of the existing
Press and Factory. The process of construction needed
to be extremely sensitive to the high standards of maintaining
a sterile environment for the facility’s operation.
This was a project that proceeded without interruption
to the facility’s day-to-day operations. Project
included: a new demising wall which created two distinct
Press areas; a new Press slab and pits with required tolerances
not to exceed 1mm; the addition of both new Ink Storage
and Parts Washer buildings that are designed for explosion
/ deflagration requirements along with secondary containment;
new internal Hot Cure room for maintaining a constant
temperature of 131 degrees for cure process of printed
material; new enclosure and internal containment for a
new exterior Incinerator process; and some updating of
the facility’s existing recycling process.
